Removing rust on a car

Post by mueneni12 »

Hi Guys

So I have been on the market for an old hilux bakkie and finally found one that looks like it has been looked after well enough but it has rust pockets close to the A-pillar. Is it possible to have this removed completely by a panelbeater? Should one rather avoid?

thanks,
Tommy

I'll take a bet that those are not the only rust spots that need fixing....

And rust is a crap one. Metal has to cut away and replaced with new metal from a donor body or from new OEM parts if they are available.
That is the only way to successfully get rid of rust.
Any competent panelbeater can do the job, but it will cost you plenty if you want it done properly.

If I was you, I would look elsewhere for a rust-free bakkie.
