Petrol lid polo mk 6 won't open

Hi guys....Was recommended to join this forum and hope to learn a lot in all aspects....stopped by the garage to fuel but petrol lid won't open...tried locking and opening by still never worked....Please assist...

There were a couple of similar posts before, apparently you can open it from inside the boot - sort of a manual override...

Really...can anyone explain how this is done....can't drive out since I have to save the little I have...dealers will only open on Monday...

When you push the lid, does it click (when your car is unlocked, of course)? If so, pull the lid towards you... Try not to scratch the paint when doing so.
Used to happen to a family member's 6R and that was the work-around. If it doesn't, then Torker's method will be your only option for now.

open boot.
remove boot lining
you should see a cable of sorts that you pull to open the flap.
