My dad told me one day that one of the initial prototypes for this style of anti-theft was spring loaded blades just under the door sills :fear:
he was apparently approached to do a test fit on a vehicle and about five minutes later the guys came rushing back realizing it was
a terrible idea to have spring loaded blades attached to a car

I got a polo 5 and would like to know if there is anything i can unplug under the bonnet and take with when i park my car at a mall etc so that the vehicle does not start at all? Needless to say it has to be something that will not cause complications such as warning lights coming on or worse. If not, can anyone suggest a reliable anti theft system? My wife's car was stolen from a shopping centre parking in broad day light and i am looking for extra precautions to prevent my car from sharing the same fate.
