RCD310 replacement - StopShop radio yes or no ??

Post by AirborneZA »

Hi there

So the Passat came with the stock RCD310 (no B/T) radio ... does what it says on the tin but looking at getting this radio from StopShop because of B/T and GPS options. After searching the forums I see there are mixed feelings on using StopShop. Sooo ... YES or NO ?? And what are the PROS and CONS

Thanx - will do. B/T is my biggest gripe but I don't want to fork out R2500 for the module if I can get B/T and GPS in a new head unit ... If that makes sense ??

A lot of people are getting the Android headunits these days if not going OEM double DIN, very well specced and customizable.
You can order them cheaper direct from China but then no warranty, granted a local warranty may be useless in any case so worth the savings.

Hope you don't mind me hopping on the bandwagon here. I've also got the 310 in the Touran and wouldn't mind upgrading to something better albeit at a reasonable price.

Would you mind letting me know what other options you're looking at?
