Hi my name is Arnold.
I 'am a owner of a 2004 VW Caddy Club, this is my second Pickup.
I just recently had the pickup spray-painted by a well-known panel shop.
The agreement was that I take it apart, and they will do the job for me for a good price. Three weeks ago I got it back, and the big job started putting everything together . Now that I 'am done, there's a problem. As soon as I connect the battery terminals the rear driving lights go on, with everything off inside. Everything ells works perfect. I have checked everything over and over again, all the earths are perfect.
Has anyone come across a problem like that?
Please help

Re: 2004 VW Caddy Club
It earths through the rear lights now. Check the earth cable on the small stud at the battery on the corner towards the rear gearbox mounting. Ensure this point is clean to the body and no paint on it.

Re: 2004 VW Caddy Club
Hello PapaJo thanks for advice. That was the first thing I checked, specially the one at battery.
With head lights switched on, I can even take out the four fuses, and the lights stay on. Somewhere I forgot something, and I can't pin point it.

Backtrack your removal process and ensure wires and harnass is laid out in the correct way. You should be able to find the fault that way.
