hi everyone, recently I decided due to the families growth to look at getting a Touran,
5 seater preferably do not like the idea of some day being stranded on the side of the road for hours due to tire damage and 5 seats will give more then enough room it is the boot I am really after and the Touran has plenty boot.
I have looked at a few so far between 2012 and 2013 both tdi and tsi and am at a cross roads cause I don’t mind either, does anyone have any input on these vehicles regarding reliability and why each is better then the next?
Thanks in advance

Re: Newbie with conundrum
Hello and welcome to the forum!
Recently purchased a 2012 Touran, 2.0 diesel variant. I opted for the 7-seater option and having had it for a couple months now I can say that I'm really happy with the decision. It's my wife's daily. She was hesitant at first but she fell head over heels for it after a few days.
Storage space aplenty with power to boot. It's a comfortable cruiser and very light on juice.
The spare wheel thing wasn't initially a concern for me but my knack for popping tyres has me wondering whether that's something I need to start planning for. Will look for options for mounting a spare in the new year.
I tested a 1.2 initially and was utterly unimpressed. Decided on the diesel after that.
