Hi guys. My name is Garth from cape town. I recently bought a mk1 for a project. I am currently looking for a new skin. Does anybody know where I could buy one and for how much?

A new skin. Meaning the shell. The roof and posts from firewall to the back

And the chassis by the sounds of it. I would check scrap yards, probably your only choice and even then you might have to buy an entire shell to cut up...

Ok. So I bought a mk1 golf. The roof gutters are rusted and the post along the windscreen and also the panel under the windscreen. Found out today, Vw barons sells a new roof for the vehicle. I bought a complete vehicle now that has been stripped. So will take what I need then sell the rest.

I Bought the skin from Barons a couple months ago. Goes all the way from the tailgate including posts and all around the windscreen. Cost me 2428 including vat. Scrap yard was charging 4500 for a dented roof.
