Re: Newbie
Good afternoon
B1-Chicano here
Hoping to get some advice with regards to my 81' Passat Station Wagon. It's becoming a costly rust wagon. I do my best to keep the mechanics sound. It by no mean in its origin state haha. I blew the head gasket recently between Barrel 1- 2. Chnaged it but now im getting the oil lihjt sometimes pulsing and veriating at different rpm's.When I run it at idle with the tappet cover off the oil is fly out and even if I take just the oil pressure sensor out I get oil.
I have also recently converted to a electronic ignition system. Module, 6 pin harness, Coil & Distributor. I run the coil on a switch that power from the Loom. I've tested the power at th wiring loom and its 12v. The fueling system it a Keihen Ks2 WAG brand. THe idle is now variating. I am concerned the coil is not now receiving or sending the right current. what voltage am I suppose to get from +- terminals of the coil?
Thankin advance to anyone with a suggestioon. I've cinsidered there might be a short in the electronics in genral haha
