Hi everyone,
Hi have been reading your great forum for a long time now and I have greatly benefited from the amazing amount of knowledge and experience on this forum. So thanks to all the members who keep posting and enabling us plebs to stay up to date. I am a semi retired mechanical engineer by profession and I have spent most of my life working in the aeronautical industry. I now just do the odd bit of consulting work to keep myself busy. I have been driving golfs and jetta's since the first 100 2 door golf and I have always maintained the myself once they were out of warranty and I have always been impressed with the engineering excellence of these cars. My daughter drives a 1400 citi golf and has expressed an interest in upgrading the engine to get a bit better hill climbing and overtaking potential hence my reason for finally registering on your forum. I hope to source some parts for this conversion and some advice from the members here.
Thanks again for a great forum.
