carb query

Post by visagifc »

Hi Guys

I have a Golf 3 1.6 carbureter model , the carb is giving trouble and 2 mechanics have now told me that I need a distributer with a vacuum advance retard , I find this funny because I have done over 200 000 in that distributer , how does the advance retard work on the carb model , I see some wires plugged into distributer so I asume thats how it's done.
