That was entertaining. The idea was great and with a much more established director, could of been epic!

Thanks Ian!

I really enjoyed the movie. Much better than expected. You generally don't expect quality cinema when it stars Adam Sandler, just a good laugh, which Pixels did deliver.

It was disappointing that the Durban showing wasn't in 3d, as it looked like it would be an awesome 3d movie to see.

Thanks to all for affording the club the oppurtunity.

Not disappointing as in "why didn't they give us 3d showing". More so that the movie looked like one that would be cool in 3d, and i am disappointed that i have watched it already in 3d. Im grateful regardless, hell, if we had to sit on the floor i would still be happy.

Ok.

TBH 3D does nothing for me.

Id rather watch a 2D movie ...

JHB was not packed. Did some people not pitch?

Agree with Ian's 3d comment, generally gives me a headache and looks jittery to me as if the refresh rate is not fast enough in action scenes.
I generally chose to watch in 2d.

They moved us to a different cinema last night ...

We weren't allowed to park people in the aisles. And it was a pretty much last minute move. There were a few people that didn't pitch, which is unfortunate as there were some that were still
Looking for tickets

Also, my apologies for not letting you know the movie was PG10LV. That was a massive oversight on my part, we will make sure we communicate this in advance in future

Durban attendance was better than last time, but still nowhere near the attendance I would have liked to have seen.

I would estimate perhaps 30% -40% full? Others that attended can confirm or deny.

Shocking how difficult it is to give something free away.

It's a pity as the ROI for AtM is poor for Durban, I doubt you guys will get another chance to see a free movie.

Cape Town we had to call in some last minute help to get the cinema full.

I'd really like to carry on this very awesome opportunity for the club, but it's difficult when we can't fill a cinema.
For free.

Last night out saved me R450 bucks if you include the 4 tickets, 3D glasses and snacks

What other club in SA brings you this?

Yeah. I had 8 tickets. For me it didn't really save me as I ended up buying snacks for the people i invited. But a great initiative nevertheless.

I couldn't make it last night, movie was PG10 so couldn't take my kiddies with and couldn't get a babysitter in time, so I mailed Claire and she said I am welcome to give the tickets away to someone else as the cinema is not full and they do not need the tickets for anyone else. Gave it to colleagues who thoroughly enjoyed it. They did comment that it looked like a nice group of people and they were very grateful. Thanks to Ian and the VWCSA and Claire for a great treat, can't wait for the next "child friendly" Sony movie.
